Arinze Izuegbunam was appointed to lead OSNON Academy in January 2023. He has built a solid teaching career which started in 2009 at Nkisi Regent School, Onitsha. He has worked in British Spring College Awka and Prime College Enugu where he has garnered experience in the following roles: Mathematics and Science teacher, HOD Maths/ICT department, Ag. HOD Science department, Cambridge International Examination Coordinator, Head of International Unit, Academic Supervisor (Junior and Senior school), Vice Principal Academics and Principal.
Arinze is a gifted educator and has taught different level of classes from Year 5 to Year 12. With certifications and trainings within and outside Nigeria, he loves to share his gift of teaching with others, and has been instrumental in training teachers to better enhance their instructional approach to teaching. He has researched and published several journal articles on student centered teaching/learning approach. Arinze holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Science Education from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He received the prestigious Presidential award as Best Teacher (1st runner-up) in Secondary school in 2019 which earned him a state sponsored training in Dubai on Enhancing Teachers’ Competence. He is a member of these professional bodies; Mathematics Association of Nigeria, Science Teachers Association of Nigeria and Teachers Registration Council of Teachers Association of Nigeria and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.
